Calvados: Apple brandy made from apples produced in the Normandy region of France. It has a mellow aroma derived from apples and a fruity, refreshing acidity. Only those made in and around Calvados in Normandy can call themselves "Calvados". Calvados is one of the world's three great brandies, along with Cognac and Armagnac.

Ginger ale: Carbonated beverage with ginger. It has a pungent taste characteristic of ginger. Dry is spicy with little sweetness and a strong ginger flavor. Dry ginger ale, made from dried ginger, is sweet.
